Core Beliefs of Pillar of Truth Chapel, Assemblies of God Church

At Pillar of Truth Chapel Assemblies of God Church, we uphold the core doctrines of the Assemblies of God Church, aligning with its teachings and beliefs. As part of the Assemblies of God family, we affirm the foundational truths that guide our faith and practice. These include:

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the authoritative rule of faith and conduct, divinely inspired and trustworthy in all it teaches.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe all Christians should seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is distinct from salvation. This experience empowers believers for Christian living and ministry, with speaking in tongues as an initial physical evidence.

The Great Commission

We affirm the church’s calling to fulfill the Great Commission by spreading the gospel and making disciples of all nations.

Salvation

We emphasize the importance of personal salvation through Jesus Christ, leading to a transformative relationship with God.

Divine Healing

We believe in divine healing as an integral part of the gospel, available to all who believe.

Unity of the Godhead

We believe in the triune nature of God, consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in perfect unity.

Baptism

We practice baptism by immersion, symbolizing an inward change from sin to new life in Christ.

The Second Coming of Christ

We hold to the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ, anticipating His return to establish His kingdom.

Abstinence from Alcohol

We encourage Christians to live holy lives, including abstaining from alcoholic beverages.
